Last nite was the Grand Opening of Loft 82!

Wow. 

they have some really amazing pieces in right now. 

they were serving so many yummy treats- popsicles, sparkling apple juice, candy...yum!

& the place looks so rad w/ a fun little upstairs that looks out over the store.

Thanks Loft 82 for the invite & lovely present, can't wait to share it on the blog!

it was a beauuutiful day (uh, finally) so naturally i wore shorts & my new hat!

"silly" i do well.

if you know me... if you KNOW me, you know i'm an odd sort.

i'm quirky and i enjoy being a dork and yet i have a whole other side that is soft, emotional and guarded.

i figure it's completely acceptable to have a mix of different traits, it makes you interesting as a human being.

And that's just it- i'd hate to be an all-around bland person... 

 i guess that's the "entertainer" side of me thinking aloud ;p

The weather for this day was so confusing. We'd just been hit with a decent run of sunny days and then on this day it was cloudy and muggy. I ended up wearing denim shorts instead of the boyfriend jeans because i was sweatin' like a mofo. On my feet i wore my beige sneaker wedges. 

This is how the headpiece looks when wearing it.

I can see myself sportin' plenty of headpieces this spring/summer.

Anywhere from snapbacks to head scarves to pieces like the one in this photo.

i love pairing silk shorts with a baggy tee or sweater (depending on the weather).

& because a pair of shorts and top is so simplistic you can accessorize with whatever :)
