a baby.

i tried to make today seem just like any other day. i hid my emotions of this joy and pain because i felt like i was wasn't even a part of such an important event that happened today. 
and technically i wasn't. i was only able to hear all the news through family & friends. 
I'm an aunty. 
i've been told that: 
my sis gave birth to a lovely little baby girl- Annabelle Lilly Rose. 
unfortunately the baby was born with anencephaly and we aren't sure how long she will live.
i'm sad because i wish i could see this baby & i wish i could see my sister. 
i wish i could hold them both. 
and i wish she would believe me when i say how much i love her and that i wish we could make amends because she is and will always be my sister. 

please keep this precious baby in your prayers and please also pray for peace between my sister and i.

it's getting warmer.

well... for the time being.

 Of course, Vancouver being... Vancouver, i know we'll be right back to rain at any moment.

but we may as well bask in it for the time being.

i went to the beach the other day and it was only about 22 degrees and even then i had to leave after not even 3 hours because the heat was getting to be too much.

i felt pathetic. 

however, it'd be much different if our water was clean enough to take a dip in to cool off.

when i see tourists, and even locals for that matter swimming in our water it just makes me cringe.

blah blah.

enough about weather, though.

(that always seems to be the first thing that comes to my mind when i write blog posts & it can be a little redundant). 

sighh.

i've recently accepted that i have an attachment to this new top.

 it's quite basic & it's not the first time i've seen it around in stores but wearing it is a whole other story. 

i guess it's just one of those nice, go-to tops for a warm, sunny day.

Hat-attack

This is my favorite purchase from my last shopping rendezvous- from 8th and Main.

Reminds me very much of the Mle Hagen "Undertaker Hat", only a way better deal.

This hat gives off a sort of safari-like vibe especially with the string that ties below. 

But i like matching it with pieces that are polar opposite.

Mind you, it's normal for me to be compelled to match different styles together. 

It's neat to look at an outfit and hear someone say something like "wow, i never imagined those pieces to go together".
