9-teen

tomorrow i'm going to be a whole year OLDer.......one-nine.
it's scary. i remember my sweet sixteen birthday & although it did feel like awhile ago, i can still remember it so clearly. i remember thinking it would take forever until i would hit nineteen. but... apparently not so. i'm excited :) for now...when i turn twenty i'll probably start getting depressed over the fact that i'm getting older.
but for now, i'll enjoy the benefits of being nineteen & of age ;)

oh. well say hello to family photos in the b-ground. hah!
i found this fun, flowy skirt at wasteland when i was done in LA [wasteland vintage store]. it's perhaps still a tad chilly out to be wearing it but i purposely wore it on a 'warmer' day. 
...it rained today...
so my strategy sucked. oh well...
after school nina, boris & i went for vietnamese pho :) mMM mmmM! really good stuff.
i think 97% of what boris talked about during our food was how much he was in love with pho. nina & i just laughed... & i had soup come up my nose a few times. 
thanks for introducing us to that little place bor.
this evening consists of TONS of reading & homework.

Something beautiful

i watched 500 days of summer the other night [sorry nina... i had to watch it] & i'm somewhat glad i watched it alone b/c i was left with a tear puddle the size of a bathtub once it was over. why had it taken me so long to see this movie? i'm not sure. i had wanted to see it long long ago but... me... not much of a 'movie watcher', i let it slip my mind.

it's true, what the narrator says in the beginning... that it's not a love story. i mean in a sense, if half way through the movie it just ended then yes: a love story. but it didn't happen that way.

& on a different note:

foto numero uno- the chained ring[s] is one of my favs i own- got it from wasteland when i was in LA last spring break... also one of my fav vintage shops. 
the cross earring & green ring are from f21. 
foto numero dos- this olay lotion is friggin amazing. i started using it on my skin while away in palm springs [for a week] & i luv it [for oily/dry skin types]. 
the covergirl smoothers lotion is also really nice. i just apply it every morning before make up & it's tinted so gives some color :)
revlon colorstay... seriously. srsly. the best foundation i've ever used. i personally like it. & to be honest i never buy super expensive foundations & so for the price, it works amazingly well on my skin- good coverage & last all day longggg
foto numero tres- ooh hello lovely bra. hehe. i just purchased this today from american apparel. it's dark forest green. i likee.

simple state of mind.

[I watched this thing on the news tonight about road rage. kinda freaked me out... what do you do if someone is freaking out at you on the road & is following/tail gating/going ape___ on you?

it hasn't happened to me yet thank goodness...

i was thinking: well i would just drive home. but what if they followed you? creepy...]

no more housesitting for me which means waking up early for school & back to the long commute back & forth. it gets to be a routine though, once i get back into the swing of it. 

i've been getting excited about my upcoming bday... 19!

& you & i both know what that means. finally legal.

i'm still planning it all out.

I might'a mentioned in the past that i'm so obsessed over this lipstick [which i used up quite quickly] that i had'a buy it again. it's seriously an awesome colour. these pictures lie about it's colour because i have a tendency to fool around with the photoshop features... hehe.

i'm staring at the clothing i got in cali while i was away. how i gotta wash 90% of them by hand & how badly i wanna wear the dresses. 

it's crazy what photoshop can do to your pics. my lips are actually a blueish black... only in photo can you actually notice...
